About Us
PILOT MANUFACTURING OF BIOPRODUCTS USING SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY AND METABOLIC ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES is a central focus of the National Center of Industrial Biotechnology (NCIB). The NCIB is strategically positioned to develop a national-level facility that enables value-addition to natural products obtained from plants as well as those derived from microbial sources. Its mission is to build state-of-the-art technological infrastructure capable of conducting advanced research for value enhancement, while also strengthening the link between academia and industry. By scaling innovative research to pilot-scale production, NCIB aims to transform scientific knowledge into practical applications and contribute towards the development of a knowledge-based economy.
